This end-of-row, brick and flint character cottage, next to the owners’ home, is located close to the town of Princes Risborough, and offers holiday accommodation of a very good standard. The Chilterns is an AONB and is situated between London and Oxford, and the region offers superb scenery, tucked-away villages and market towns. The cottage is ideally located to enjoy Buckinghamshire’s and Oxfordshire’s lovely countryside walks and bridleways, and makes an ideal base for walking, trekking and cycling holidays. The property is in close proximity of the historic Ridgeway Trail and is not far from the start of the ancient Icknield Way at Ivinghoe Beacon. There are several stately homes and NT properties in the area, including Chequers, the prime minister’s country estate, Great Missenden with its curving high street of half-timbered houses and Georgian shops, and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. Marlow and Henley provide attractive access for riverside walks along the Thames Path. Aylesbury and other large towns, including High Wycombe, Milton Keynes and Windsor, are all less than an hour away. There is a fast 30-minute train link into London’s Marylebone Station for those wanting a day out in the capital. Golf and horse riding can be found nearby. Shop ¼mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

A spacious and comfortable, stone-built roadside property with the owners' home close by, it can sleep up to twelve people. It has retained many of the original features - such as flagstone, wooden and quarry-tiled floors, beamed ceilings and fireplaces. The large, south-facing, stone-walled garden is enclosed, and its beautiful aspects may be enjoyed in all types of weather when dining or relaxing on the large verandah, which is attached to the house.
Olney is situated on the River Great Ouse and is one of the most sought-after destinations in North Buckinghamshire. It is within easy driving distance of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, in an area with beautiful rolling countryside and many country and town attractions. Olney is located in the middle of England and Dartmouth House is handily set along a main road just 20 minutes from junction 14 of the M1 - making London very accessible. Olney itself has tea rooms, antique shops, boutiques and the William Cowper Museum and are all within easy walking distance of the property. A few minutes' drive leads to Woburn Abbey, Castle Ashby and Bletchley Park. There is plenty to keep children entertained - from Gullivers World and Woburn Safari Park to the popular Whipsnade Zoo. For the more energetic, there are vast areas of outstanding walking and cycling country, including Salcey Forest and Emberton Park. Milton Keynes offers a different experience with its cinemas, excellent shopping, the Milton Keynes Theatre (the most popular theatre outside London) and a huge choice of sporting activites including the Snowdome.
